Internet Marketing Tips for Beginners: How to Create Your Own Ebook Product

How many times have you read an e-book? If you are a regular internet user, you should have encountered one from time to time. These products are usually sold over the internet. There are also a lot of them that are given away for free to interested readers. But either the case, you can certainly generate profits merely by creating one.

Being a beginner in internet marketing should not stop you from making a best selling e-book. All you really need is a good idea, a penchant for writing, and of course some insider tips on how to make a hit e-book.

Here are a few tips to kick off your e-book creation:

1. Think of something interesting to write. If you want to make one, you begin by selecting a topic that would entice a lot of people to read. You are supposed to give people something informative. As much as possible, write about a new idea or discovery - something that nobody has ever heard of yet. If people find that your e-book has a lot of juice to share, then they would surely buy from you!

2. Make a draft. An e-book is similar to a well-researched report that spans 50 pages long. If you really think about it, writing something that lengthy is quite a task. That's true - but not if you have a good rough draft to follow. The draft would include the subject matter, topics, and subtopics of the report or idea you'd like to write about. If you write the e-book in sections, you'll see that it can be finished easily. Writing a draft keeps you in topic as well. Because if you keep on talking about something without direction, you'll never know how far you are from your original subject when you're done.

3. Finalize your e-book. Read your manuscript once. Edit words, phrases, and sentences as necessary. Leave it for a day or two. Read the manuscript for the second time. You'll see that you still have lots to sections to rephrase and remove. Do this step for the third time. Only after the third level of revision your e-book will be ready for publishing.

4. Submit your e-book to a professional editor. This step is optional. If you know that you are a good enough writer, then you can simply start the publication of your e-book after the editing process. But if you want to be 100% sure that the e-book you created looks professionally written, then hire the services of a professional e-book editor. A book, newspaper, or magazine editor would do, in the absence of an editor.

5. Get the software to convert your work in an e-book format. The most common format is PDF. But there are also raw HTML and Windows executable formats. Choose the necessary e-book compiler for the format of your preference. The PDF format is the one that can be processed by any operating system like Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and even Unix. The only disadvantage of this is that your viewers would need to download a PDF viewer software for them to open the file. An example of a PDF viewer is the Adobe Acrobat. This can be obtained for free.

The only slight disadvantage of this format is that some users may find it inconvenient to download one more thng before they can enjoy reading it.

6. Publicize your work. Once all the writing and compiling is done, you should be ready to market your e-book. Define a price for it. Since you are a beginner, you can start charging customers something lower than $10, excluding any other costs.

You should create a graphical representation of your e-book when you sell it, because merely selling it through its title is insufficient. Readers need to see what they are paying for. So make sure you have your graphics ready. Don't forget a good sales letter to go along with it as well.

Here are six tips on how beginners can create, sell, and earn from e-books. They are good sources of internet income. And much of this is because creating them requires minimal investment but they can be sold over and over again.
