In companies that follow the multi level marketing pattern, it has been observed that the top brass businessmen or those associated with the firm from the very beginning usually drift or breakaway. In the network marketing pattern the pattern of such breakaways is either non existent or very negligible.

In multi level marketing system payments are made on a monthly basis while in network marketing it is all about weekly payments.

Multi level marketing demands the constant inclusion of people into the scheme of things. On the other hand, in network marketing a small group of people can make the whole system work.

When one weighs multi level vs network marketing, it is found that the former requires a substantial investment while the latter can make do with a small investment as the risks involved are minimal.

In the chain of multi level networking, the attrition rate is on the higher side. It is just the opposite in case of network marketing as everybody involved wants to retain the constant flow of income.

An individual involved with multi level networking needs to put in a good deal of hard work to move up the ladder. It is not the case with network marketing as people with average merit can also have their share of success.

A multi level marketing system is concentrated at one center which acts as the headquarters quite unlike network marketing where there are several centers operating simultaneously.

The scope for training is limited in multi level marketing while in network marketing it takes place on a structural basis.

With a multi level marketing system one can aim at regional popularity, but with network marketing you can really take your business global.

It has been observed that the product prices are high in MLM while network marketing boasts of competitive pricing.

Both these forms of marketing have their share of advantages and disadvantages. But when you pitch multi level vs network marketing, you find the latter having an upper hand.
