This can be done through reciprocal linking, directory submissions, article submissions, and even press releases.
ONSITE AND OFFSITE SEO
Both onsite and off-site SEO are important. All Search engine optimization (SEO) packages focus on careful analysis of rankings and competitors, and include both onsite and off-site SEO in order to achieve the best overall result.
Onsite SEO
Onsite SEO are the things you do ON your site to optimize it. Onsite SEO helps the search engine not only to find the website but also to know whether the website is relevant to the internet user. Some of the strategies to use for onsite SEO include:
• Meta-Tags: Meta tags are an html coding designed to describe the keywords related to your site. They fit in the header section of a website.
• Keywords: This is related to site content, as well as meta-tags. It establishes your site as one with relevant content.
• Headings: Careful use of headlines can make it easy for search engines to find, and navigate your site and makes site easier to read.
Offsite SEO
Off-site are the things that do not happen on your site. In short this is other sites linking to you and how they link to you. Off-site refers to how the website is connected with the rest of the web in the form of incoming links. Incoming links, also termed "backlinks`234456" or "Inbound Linksâ€. Offsite optimization concentrates on improving what other websites think of that website page. Some of the strategies to use for offsite SEO include:
• Backlinks: are other sites that link to website. This can be a one-way link where a website links to yours, but you do not link to that website in return. Two-way links are when a site links to you and you link to them.
• Articles: writing articles related to your site content can be very helpful in promoting your website, and promoting yourself as an expert in your field. The added benefit of writing articles is that you can place a link to your website in the author biography. This is a handy one-way link.
• Directories: A good way to get backlinks is to submit your site to relevant directories. The internet is full of directories so you must ensure that the directories you submit are relevant to the site.
• Natural link building: Add quality content to link and visitors will link to site as a resource.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF ONSITE AND OFFSITE SEO
Onsite Search Engine Optimization or onsite optimization is an integral part of SEO. It involves developing various aspects of the website itself in order to make it more search engine friendly. Onsite SEO can thus be thought of as an extension of both Web design as well as Web development
The disadvantage of having off-site links is that visitor may leave site before completely absorbing the messages and acting on it. The advantage of off-site links is that we can provide visitor with backup information related to topic without having to duplicate information already available elsewhere on the Web.
Off- site and on-site SEO are separate but somewhat tied to each other. They both help in ranking your site and make it more search engine friendly.
