Forum marketing really is an excellent way to earn some extra cash for your business. However, you have to do it the right way if you are going to really make money with this method of marketing. So, here are some great tips that can help you to earn that extra cash you want using forum marketing.

Tip #1 - Be Aware of All the Rules - First of all, if you are going to try to make money using forum marketing, be aware of all the rules in the forums you are involved in. Each message board forum has rules of their own. Some things may be okay in one forum while the same thing may not be okay somewhere else.

It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of the rules so you follow them and avoid being booted from the forum.

Tip #2 - Only Post Nice Comments - When you are making comments in the forum message boards, make sure you only post nice comments. Remember, you want to make extra cash.

This means that you want to develop friendships - you do not want to make enemies. Even though it may be tempting to say some things sometimes, make sure that you keep the comments nice and think before posting.

Tip #3 - Develop a Great Sig File - Developing a great sig file is also important if you want to make extra cash with forum marketing. In fact, the sig file is one of the most important parts.

This is the file that people are going to see at the bottom of every post you make. Usually you will be able to put in a link to your site in the sig file, leading people to your site. Just make sure it is attractive, that it meets the forum standards, and that you avoid getting "salesy" in the sig file.

Tip #4 - Become Part of the Group - Work to become a part of the group when you are using forum marketing to make money. Fit in and get into the attitude of the forum. You want to write in a way that makes everyone accept you and feel that you are a part of the entire forum group.

Tip #5 - Offer Great Advice - Offering great advice is also going to be important. Make sure that you only give advice that you are sure about when posting in forums.

The last thing you want to do is give someone bad advice. However, if you become known for giving good advice and people in the forum begin to trust you, then the potential to earn money will grow.

Tip #6 - Write Threads that Catch the Eye - As you are writing new threads in the message board forum, make sure that you write threads that catch the eye. You want to start threads that will become very popular.

Make the title eye catching and the conversation one that everyone will want to join. Not only will you bring in many people from the forums, but you may get the topic listed in the search engines, giving you even more visibility and helping you to earn more money with forum marketing as well.

Tip #7 - Don't Get Promotional in the Forum - Last of all, if you are going to try to earn extra money with forum marketing, don't get promotional in the forum. Not only is this against the rules in most forums, but this is a big way to make people mistrust you and wonder about your real intentions.

You want to show that you are there to help and communicate with others, not come across like a sales person. So, let your sig file do the work for you and avoid getting promotional yourself.
