Broadband Internet

Internet is a system where computers are connected globally with each other using the standardized Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). It is a collection of networks that consists of unlimited computer worldwide linked by copper wires, fiber optic cables, wireless connections and other technologies. The Internet provides various information resources and services such as electronic mail facility,file transfer or file sharing services ,on line chatting,gaming activities,inter-linked hypertext documents and other major resources of the World Wide Web. Internet is a powerful tool which is becoming popular day by day throughout the world. Internet has changed the human life in a great way and it really helped making this world as global village.

Broadband is often called high-speed Internet, because its usually has a high rate of data transmission. It provides Internet access speed of 256kbps without any disruption. The standard broadband technologies in most areas are DSL and cable modems. Newer technologies in use include VDSL and pushing optical fiber connections. Broadband Connections has low cost as compare to Dial-up connections.

Its also known as Dial-Up Internet Connection. Dial-Up modems are attached internally or externally with a computer and then connected using a standard telephone cable to dial an Internet Service Provider 's (ISP). It is the most basic and slowest type of Internet connection which provide 2400 bps & 56000 bps connection rates with transfer speed of 56kbps. Dial Up Internet access is basically form of Internet access via telephone lines. Dial-Up access is a transitory type connection, because either the user or the ISP terminates the connection.

Dial-up connection is still very useful for travelers. Dial-up is basically used in remote or rural areas where broadband installations are not available due to low population,demand or feasibility.

6. Broadband Connection are cost effective as compare to Dial-up connection
