Why Start A Home Based Business Through Internet Marketing?

There are many reasons why people start their own internet business at home. One of the main reason is to complement the current income, ie, they would like to increase their income stream and internet marketing is a part time job. Others would be full time internet marketers. They can be full time because what they earn online is more than what they can earn being employed.

Why do business online instead of other home based brick and mortar business? Internet marketing is done online using your desktop or notebook. There is no office, working hours or even dress code. Furthermore, it can be set up to run automatically with little start up cost. Many marketers will share with you that they have better quality of life. We are not restricted in when we work, how we work and how long we work. This gives the marketer flexibility in time management. Flexibility in time enables marketers to spend it with their families or simply pursuing their passion.

As a small business owner, if I am not around to run the business, the business would not generate income. An internet business, once built up and running, does not need to be managed on daily basis. Furthermore, it is self sustaining and can generate income 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. What is more interesting is internet business is a global business, not local or regional.

One common reason which drives people to internet marketing is FREEDOM! This is freedom to choose when to work, how to work and how long to work. Freedom to manage time to spend on things we love, be it family, hobbies and even freedom from debt!

Isn’t that our dream job? To make lots of money from doing what we like. The bonus is while doing what we like, we also have the choice of how, what and when we work. No boss on earth will fulfill what we want entirely and still pay us for it. Yes, the most attractive thing is to be your own boss and work on your own terms.

Being employed means working on the employer’s terms. Most of us would only negotiate for better pay and maybe better leave or other incentives. The thing is most people are unhappy with their jobs, and they just stick around because of the money or they have no where else to go. They have to face the employer breathing down their necks everyday. They have sales target to meet. They can’t work less than 8 hours a day but more hours if necessary, and the list goes on.

I have met many individuals who have started their own internet business out of their passion. The cost to entry is very low. They just need a desktop or a notebook and connection to the internet. Later, as business grows, they discover that they are living a better life doing business online. Most of them are actually successful and are teaching people a new lifestyle.

Many internet marketing newbies do not have a product or business service to sell online. So joining a reputable affiliate program is a good first step. This is not a get rich quick system, especially if you are a newbie. It is a business, therefore, it needs to be nurtured and built up. Time and effort need to be spent on building the business. After it is built up, it can be automated and money will start flowing in. As you gain experience in building one successful business, you can replicate and start other internet business. This time, the learning curve is shorter, so the time to start raking in money will be shorter too. By replicating your successful business model, you can increase your income level.

Since internet marketing can be automated and is scalable to form multiple source of passive income. That should be the ultimate aim of everyone…to be financially free with lots of time as well.
