Sometime in the mid nineties I was exposed to the concept of Network Marketing through a Billion dollar company at the time. I remember attending a convention in Myrtle Beach in December 1995 where there were about 5000 members and guests in attendance. It was there at that convention that my mind was opened to the vast world of this fascinating industry.

The thought of making money without working hard for it might not be very appealing to the traditional lifestyle that we are use to, its like getting something for nothing. However, the idea of doing the work now and keep getting paid for it over and over again had a certain appeal that really got me thinking. (leveraging)

Contrary to what some people might have you thinking about this industry, MLM/network marketing is a very good source of income for many people.

In every industry there are flaws and some bad apples. There is always someone bringing their unethical views and practices to the fore and because its something bad it tends to take precedence no matter how small.

There are countless thousands of ordinary people who have created extra-ordinary lifestyles from this industry and they continue to do so every day. So why are so many people bashing mlm and network marketing? Why is it that so many people are failing and are not able to succeed at this?

The world around us is evolving at a fast pace and the traditional ways of doing business no longer work. In the old days of this industry people were ask to make a list of names, speak with your friends and family, speak with people who they meet, the 3 foot rule etc. These methods still work for a small percentage of people, but for the most part they are no longer effective. Does that mean network marketing doesn't work? Far from it.

The network marketers who have embraced the new concepts and methods are growing their business continuously. Thanks to the internet revolution they have learnt effective online marketing strategies that allow them to accomplish much more now than in the past.

So why do you continue to find it so difficult to grow your mlm/network marketing business?

Stop for a moment and take a good long and hard look at where your business is at right now. If its not where you want it to be then ask yourself these questions.

1. "WHY" did I start my business?

2. Can it work for me?

3. Will I make it work for me?

After you've answered those questions then you need to make a decision whether you're going to continue with your business or not. You must always be very clear in your mind about what you want to do.

After you make the decision to continue with your business ask yourself some more questions.

4. What am I doing that is working and how can I improve on it?

5. What new methods can I introduce into my marketing to make it more effective?

6. How can I attract more qualified prospects to my business?

A very important point here is:

If you're not familiar with online/internet marketing make an effort to start learning it, you will be thrilled with the results. I had put off my exposure to learn effective online marketing strategies for a long time, but after I started I found it to be the most fascinating field I've ever ventured into.

Now here's the kicker! I want you to implement a new strategy into your business model. Some of you might be aware of this concept, but might not be practicing it.

Starting today - give like you've never given before. Give of your time, your knowledge, your expertise. Help some people get what they want. If you will make a concerted effort to
