A billionaire that I've studied for a long time and got a chance to meet with not too long ago, has a saying that "Life will turn out the way you see it turning out".

Indeed it 's true and it 's true to your business as well. My logic says that there is some deep meaning to what this billionaire says. This is applicable to your self-image of a businessperson or a salesperson.

It\ 's quiet simple, if you've been brought up in a family where parents didn't earn over fifty thousand dollars a year, your self-image automatically gets programmed for it and will not change until you decide to change it.

Such an individual may want to earn lot more but since they carry a particular mental picture, they may not be able to attract what they want. Their conditioning will only allow them to earn those fifty thousand dollars.

Let me give you an example. By the way it happens to me as well. When everything is on the right track and money is flowing in easily from the sales, something happens and it suddenly stops! It 's nothing but your programmed mind that subconsciously hinders you from seizing the prospects that are right there before you.

It 's programmed with a number, and it will do whatever it takes to attract that to you, and once you go over that amount, it will sabotage any opportunities that come your way, until you get back where you belong.

This is called cognitive dissonance in scientific language. In simple language, it 's a conflict between the existing self image in your mind and what 's really happening.

Resolving conflict is one of the many tasks of your subconscious mind. Thus when you try to change the picture inside the mind, creativity is activated by your mind and thus takes care of the conflict.

If you change the mental image you have of yourself as someone who is a half a million dollar a year person, you will start seeing the opportunities to bring that picture into reality. You will become more creative and more motivated to do the things that will help you accomplish that goal.

The opposite is true, when you revise your self image to a person earning half a million dollars a year your subconscious mind will automatically go to work to make it happen. Your motivation level will be increased which will help you to do it.

The picture I'm referring to is your self image, as it relates to business and income. We have many different pictures of ourselves, our self-image, for different roles in our lives. We have a picture of our self as a parent, a man or a woman, a child, a communicator, a manager, an employee, a sales person, a business owner, a golfer, a handyman and so forth. So this process relates to all areas of our lives.

But more specifically, the picture that we carry our self as a business person and the money we make, CAN be changed. The way to change this picture is to start thinking of the business we want to have. The money we want to make. And more importantly HOW IT WOULD FEEL to have that kind of a business and make that kind of money.

As it relates to the self image you have as a businessperson earning certain amount of money, you need to deeply think about the amount of money that you want to make from the business. Further, you need to feel the excitement of making so much money in business.

This feeling is very important, so that your thinking can materialize. For those who don't have a steady income, you need to find the picture that you've been carrying in your mind. This is the same image that your mind has been programmed with to attract the business you have or a certain amount of money in your life.

The fact that the mental picture controls your income is not a handicap but is actually an advantage as you yourself have the power to attract the kind of money that you want. All you need to do is change this picture.

I often meet people who complain that they just can't get creative like me in business, nor are they well-motivated. If you've ever caught yourself thinking that, I'll tell you what I tell those people, to see the changes in the results and get more money and business, you will have to change the picture!
