Authors have to examine carefully their book marketing plan if they will benefit, if at all, from an Amazon bestseller campaign precisely because, as stated, it can be expensive and time consuming. However, if the author concerned so determines that the number of benefits, as mentioned in the article, far exceeds the disadvantages that might be incurred, then the book marketing campaign has greater chances to be successful.
