Anya Marina Tickets - An Indie DJ to the Extreme

San Diego may know her as the voice of alternative rock station 94.9 but today Anya Marina is stretching out her disc jockeying skills in another manner - with a tour. The Michigan native who is currently based in Los Angeles is setting out on the road just finishing up a tour with Atlantic artists Jason Mraz and The Virgins to join Greg Laswell and Jay Nash as well as a few solo stops. The indie songstress who does impersonations just as well as she sings melancholy tunes with a whole much of soul isn't ready to take a vacation just yet as she unveils a new single on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a new music video and a series of singles hitting the CW's best shows. With her latest critically acclaimed set Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II making her a household name, Anya Marina tickets are becoming all the rage.

The singer and songwriter not only made her "Move You" debut recently on Kimmel's show but the former spinner is also one of the featured artists part of Josh Schwartz's new web series, Rockville, CA. The show, along with Marina's record label's Alexandra Patsavas, is a romantic comedy series that has a music theme, perfect for the bright eyed blonde that uses her guitar to express her feelings. Though Marina's music has been featured in several of both Patsavas' and Schwartz's work (Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, The O.C.), it's the first time she'll be starring in the show herself, side by side with her tunes.

Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II was produced by Louis XIV's Brian Karscig and Spoon's Britt Daniel. Such veteran experience helped Marina's rock and roll vocals earn her three stars in Rolling Stone and a feature in Spin. Even her former home had a rave review; "The album is packed with complex pop songs and catchy choruses with all the horns and fuzzy guitars and xylophones on her big label debut, it sounds as if she were born an indie rocker," the San Diego Union-Tribune stated. Now she's getting headlines not only for her amazing tunes but for her hefty schedule, which continues to see more show dates, special performances and acclaim as the days pass. Though she hasn't left her roots behind her (not just in her music as prior to her major label recoding contract Marina drove herself around the country performing her music), she'll continue to become more mainstream by the minute.

Anya's work is perfect for something that Josh Schwartz would be involved in, and I hope this tour is a lot safer than her last one, where she just went around alone in van! Gotta be careful Anya.
