Fleetwood Mac Tickets - Year after Year, They Return
Even without a new album, the guys (and girl) of Fleetwood Mac are hitting the road for the first time without a new one in the works. Unleashing their Greatest Hits North American tour which begins in March, the group isn't hesitant about returning to the stage after four years. "This is the first time we've gone on the road without an album," drummer and co-found Mick Fleetwood said to Billboard.
"This is truly a new experience for Fleetwood Mac to go out and play songs that we believe and hope people are going to be familiar with and love." With classics that range from "Landslide" to "Don't Stop" and "The World Keeps on Turning," these singles will make Fleetwood Mac tickets all the more popular!
After four years apart, the group is back together, and none more appreciative than on-again, off-again soloist and sole female in the group, Stevie Nicks. The singer, who joins in and out from her Fleetwood Mac career to a solo one, is ready to return to the group like never before. "It's like people that have relationships all over the world," Nicks said during a teleconference with the rest of the group beside her.
"You never get bored. And so you can do your thing until you start to get bored and then you can go to the other thing. And then you can do that until you started to get bored and then you can go back to the other thing. And it really makes for staying much more excited and uplifted [in] everything that you do when you're not just doing one thing year after year after year after year. So, for us right now, we're been apart for four years, now we're back together and we're having a blast."
Though a new album isn't appearing with the Fleetwood Mac name, the group is releasing Unleashed, a Greatest Hits package and re-releasing the diamond certified CD/DVD box set Rumours. Several of the hits used are reworked from the time when former member Christine McVie was part of the group. "Christine and her songs are surviving very well in the set that we're doing," Fleetwood said during the event. "And the band - and certainly with more focus for obvious reasons, Stevie Lindsey - are finding a fresh way in certain instants to present those songs. And we think we've got a really good balance where we can have fun doing that whole part of it."
"I think we're going to make the audience identify with songs for sure that they know," Fleetwood continued. "And the energy of the band is all focused on that because we don't have five or six songs off the new album that we always, you know, naturally would love to be playing when you've made an album." There's no doubt that longtime fans of Fleetwood Mac will want to act quickly with Fleetwood Mac tickets online as they play some of their most classic material. Rehearsing since January 5 in Los Angeles "just allows you to relax into the situation. We're not coming off a new group of tunes, a new album...the stakes for that side of it become a little bit lower," singer/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said to Billboard.
As a new album is only beginning "discussions," according to Fleetwood, they are in good spirits one will happen. Only revealing the singles "Dreams," "Go Your Own Way" and "Don't Stop" for the 46 city set, the group will be on the road through the end of May 2009, closing in San Diego's Cox Arena.
