Jennifer Hudson Tickets - Back in the Saddle

It's now more like an afterthought that Jennifer Hudson suffered a tragic loss late in 2008, as she's holds a Grammy, a new engagement ring and now, a spot as a co-headliner. The R&B artist, who recently picked up her first Grammy Award for her self-titled debut recently announced her first official tour, which she'll be headlining with Robin Thicke. The two are heading out March 31st in Albany, New York for 19 stops throughout the nation. As the first official tour for the recently engaged, "only seventh" American Idol, Jennifer Hudson tickets are sure to fall off the shelves of StubHub in rapid time. "I am so grateful," Hudson said in a statement. "My first Grammy and my first tour; it doesn't get any better than this!"

It's been more like a rush attack of Hudson's power as she returns to the spotlight after a brief hibernation after the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in October. Since her return she sang an incomprehensibly brilliant National Anthem at the Super Bowl XLIII in Florida followed by a stage performance at the Grammys just moments after earning Best R&B album, saying "I would like to thank God, who has brought me through. I would like to thank my family in heaven and those who are here today," during the event, the first public comments she made about the murders of her family. Just a few weeks later she took home three NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding New Artist, Outstanding Album and Outstanding Duo for "I'm His Only Woman," a duet with another American Idol alum, winner Fantasia. Hudson is clearly on a sprint to finish the year off right as the "dream girl" continues on her path toward redemption.

She doesn't plan on stopping her career in the film industry, with recent offers to join in Tyler Perry's kingdom of comedy films, particularly one that was specifically written for Hudson, according to People Magazine. The director, screenwriter and actor said he wrote a film just "for her that I'm really excited about. I'm hoping she'll be able to do it." Though Hudson has yet to comment, the world knows she could use a little laughter in her life. "Looking and talking to [Jennifer], there's sadness in her eyes, but my thoughts and prayers are always with her," Perry said to People Magazine. "That's one of the reasons why I want her to do this role, because I think it'd be really cathartic for her to take it on and work through some things."

The Grammy winning singer and Oscar winning actress is set to tour with Grammy winner Robin Thicke, who is also promoting his most recent set, Something Else. The album first appeared in September, peaking at number three on the Billboard charts with its single "Magic" and "The Sweetest Love." The two R&B acts are set to appear in Philadelphia, New York City, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Dallas and of course, Hudson's home of Chicago. Thicke is continuing to reel in the US success of her platinum selling sophomore album, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, which had the number one single "Lost Without U." Thicke, whose father is the well known actor Alan Thicke from the popular '80s television show Growing Pains, has earned a plethora of awards since first emerging, including the VH1 Soul/Vibe Awards' Best Breakthrough Artist and ASCAP's Song of the Year.
