Ryan Cabrera Tickets - Not Hiding Under Anything
If you lost the blonde tipped fellow that tagged around during Ashlee Simpson's MTV reality series? Don't fret...he's back. With a more punk grunge look but the same poppy voice, Ryan Cabrera is setting out with this latest effort throughout the nation, hitting up New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey and more this winter. If you haven't been able to get over the Cabrera/ Simpson breakup, which even goes as far as manager father Joe Simpson, check out dates for Ryan Cabrera tickets as his concerts will sure to please any former MTV-er's heartache.
Cabrera returned to the spotlight in '08 with long curly, most noticeably darker locks, a few permanent scars (both visible and not) and an aptly appropriate attitude for everything indie. After his first two records failed to make him a fully fledged pop star and a subsequent failed relationship with the person who perhaps led to such fame (Simpson), Cabrera turned to an indie, label and look, for his third effort, The Moon Under Water. A formerly familiar paparazzi favorite is now attempting to hoard the media on any accounts, shedding his bubble gum pop image for a Colin Firth/Johnny Depp look that is still bound to get the dedicated teenage fans swooning. The 2008 effort appeared in May and slowly re-establishes the former *NSYNC wannabe into a new man, complete with greasy hair and a few tattoos.
The physical remake isn't the only thing that's changed for this former MTV regular, as Cabrera's music has also gotten a swift changing room; singles like "Enemies" and "Say" remain poppy at heart but have a deeper rhythm infused with hard edged piano chords and heavy guitar riffs. On Cabrera's website he says, "After I made my second major label record, I was thinking, do I have to do another one like this?" So instead of writing "stuff to make money or the people at the record company happy," he turned to Frolic Room Records and his own production skills to redefine himself. "The sound of the new record I think will open a lot of eyes and ears, and definitely be a surprise to fans and anybody who hasn't heard my music. I wanted to take my time with this record and really make a diverse entire album as opposed to just a single or two; no, I want a ride, a journey, I want the record to be able to be played all the way through. So many things have changed in my life, and the music is heading along with it."
Cabrera grew up on rock 'n' roll and has always been inspired by greats like the Beatles and Louis Armstrong (both of which earn inked places on Cabrera's arm). The Texas native may have gotten his start via ex-lover Ashlee Simpson and her father/manager, but he has always been involved in music. Since dropping out of high school and turning to punk-pop rock thanks to an acoustic guitar, Cabrera has reveled in his musical ambitions. "At this point it's all about the music," he continues on his website. "My goal all along has been to have a career in music, end of story. That's it, just to play music as my life. And the best stuff is yet to come." Enjoy Cabrera's current best with some of his concert tickets now online!
