Are you “ Keeping your dreams alive” through Faith, Gratitude and Thankfulness?

It just doesn't seem possible that 2007 has come to a close and 2008 has just begun. My mind started running like a movie reel, capturing all the wonderful successful moments I have had this past year as well as all the challenges and tears.

I must say that of all the places I have gone and the many people I have met, my greatest keys to success was the lessons I learned on Gratitude & Thankfulness. Giving Thanks everyday that I am able to continue to Dream. I was told by someone very close to me years ago, that I was nothing but a dreamer to stop dreaming and get on with reality! Although I loved this person and respected them for who they were in my life, I never stopped dreaming.

God gives you a dream that he places within you - or within reach - and gives us all the resources needed to fulfill it.

Do have dreams? Do you have unthinkable thoughts that are scary and maybe absolutely wild ideas that wont let you sleep? That’s the way it is with dreams, especially when God’s in them preparing you. They appear crazy ( Humanly speaking, they are crazy)? They seem to have no logic, and feel like they are way beyond our reach. They wont fly when you test them against the gravity of Reality. The more you talk about them and share them with others, you start hearing the word “can’t”, but when you let your faith take over and give it up you start hearing the words, “can” and “will” and “must”.

Behind all great successful accomplishments, inevitably are great people. People that achieved their greatest success by acting on their dreams. But what is in those great people that makes them different? What makes them stand out in a crowded room? How do they always rise above others being in the same environment? Given the same time and tools. It has nothing to do with their age or gender or talent or heritage.

It’s Faith! They are people who think and believe differently.

Do you have dreams? I sure do! When I finally realized we all have the same chance to do and become who and what we want, it was faith that I found I was lacking. When I started to believe and exercise those thoughts, the more my dreams came into focus and pieces of the puzzle began to appear and start forming those dreams in becoming reality! The picture was becoming clearer, the reality was coming closer to my grasp. I realized that if its to be, it is up to me.

Through Faith and Thankfulness daily, I began receiving the tools, the canvas, the paints, the brushes needed to create and bring my dreams into focus. A clearer picture, a step by step direction to follow. I knew I needed to press on! Why not? Its hard to find satisfaction halfway up someone else’s corporate ladder. Without a dream and the determination and faith to fulfill it, life is reduced to a diet too bland and wimpy to get anybody out of bed in the morning.

My dream has always been to become the number 1 woman in whatever company I was engaged in. I also dreamt about becoming a millionaire. Not for the material things, but to help others and go on mission trips and share the word of God. I want to experience being the main character in a romantic comedy movie. I also have dreamt about someday in the very near future to be on the cover of Fitness Magazine, as the hottest, most determined Grammy over 50. Crazy huh? Well not to me. I am sure we all think our dreams can never be fulfilled. But, this past year I learned that each day when I gave thanks even for the smallest thing, puzzle pieces of my dreams started to appear and my focus became clearer. Everything seems to be falling into place. My Dreams are now starting to be molded like a magnificent sculpture. My thoughts are now creating success not distress!

Do you have dreams? Are you dreaming about writing a book? Don’t wait for a publisher, become one. Start writing!

Thinking about going into business? Why not? Pay the price even if it takes years!

Want to go back to school and finish your degree? Doesn’t matter if you’re the oldest in the class, have fun, learn, do it!

Do you dream about dancing with the stars? What is it that continually pulls at you? Have faith and go after your passion!

Trying to master a skill takes time, patience and energy. Press on as time passes whether you do it or not.

Go after your quest that fuels your fire. Keep your dream alive! .....……………… .................................................
