Andrew Carnegie was quoted "There is little success where there is little laughter". This self made man saw the value of laughter. There is no doubt that he did indeed master success. The most beneficial environment for achieving success in life would be a stress free one. See the funny side of life – allow yourself to laugh and enjoy life without being serious all the time. Laughter helps ease stress and bring mountains back down to mole hills where they belong. Learn to see humor in difficult situations. A good, hearty belly laugh is the best stress releaser of all.
When we laugh, we become naturally more intuitive, more compassionate, more attuned to the wonder of the world around and within us. Our creativity will be awakened with the accent on imminent success.
When we laugh we gain courage, benefit from new energy, and acquire self-confidence all of which are high quality ingredients in the recipe for success.
To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the approval of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived… That is to have succeeded. –Ralph Waldo Emerson
As adults we tend to take life more seriously and miss out on many opportunities through out our days to look at situations from the lighter side. We are missing out on the sweet juicy richness of life we experienced as children.
On average children laugh 400 times per day, and adults only laugh 15 times per day. So if laughter is so good, why are we not doing more of it? We could have fun while having an inner joy that could lead us to a very satisfying level of personal success. You could say that your health depends upon it. Maybe there should be a laughing room added to the many fitness clubs in our nation. Although this might sound crazy, laughing clubs have already been started. Members of the laughing clubs say they feel better, some say they have even lost weight, others say they are not depressed, and still others say it has helped to get out of the house, and meet people. Whether or not it is the laughter exercise, the physical exercise, or just being with other people, we all know that when we laugh we simply feel better (Roach 1996).
There are many areas in our life that we can cultivate that would define our own success. A huge key to success for example is good health. When we are in a state of good health we are on the right path to a successful life.
