Are You Forced To Deal With A Bully?
Bullying is one threat of many on a broad continuum of potential school safety threats. This Problem is neither a stand-alone, single cause for all school violence, nor is bullying prevention alone a panacea or cure-all for school violence.
Bullying is an important issue which adversely impacts school safety. Bullying is same-gender/same-race harassment ignored by most current laws. Bullying is 4 times more prevalent than illegal forms of harassment. Bullying is considered a Public Health Hazard For 45% of bullied targets, stress affects their health.
Bullying is defined as a conscious, willful, deliberate and repeated hostile activity marked by an imbalance of power, intent to harm, and/or a threat of aggression.
Bullying is wrong and you need to take action to stop it from continuing. This is one of the most minimized and persistent problems in our schools today.
Bullying is when someone keeps doing or saying things to have power over another person. Two wrongs don't make a right and there is the danger of your getting into trouble too.
Do not let them see they're getting to you and do not suffer in silence, bullying is wrong and you should tell someone. Make sure you have got your friends around you most of the time. You should also try and write down dates, times and places of when the bullying happens.
It is no accident that school bullying is so pervasive. The intention of bullying is to put the victim in distress in some way. Bullying may not look exactly the same everywhere, but it has the same devastating effect on everyone, and during adolescence, bullying is not a problem that usually sorts itself out.
This behavior may also be defined as a criminal act if the bully is twelve years of age or older. This will usually, although not always, occur between individuals who are not friends.
It does not know any financial, cultural or social bound. This type behavior can be identified as early as pre-school age, and some children who are bullies continue this behavior into adulthood.
Children are born into the world innocent ? without defenses. Children who are victims of bullying need support. Children and young people who are bullied can have problems like anxiety and depression.
Those who are in a bullying situation are more likely to perform poorly academically, withdraw from activities, skip school and some drop out of school. Children who bullies are more likely to get into fights, vandalize property, and also drop out of school. Child bullies are adept at manipulating the perceptions of adults, especially adults who are inexperienced or who have a low IQ.
Bullies who hide behind homophobic beliefs and attitudes are still bullies. They have particular behavior and personality traits. Most of them have average social popularity up to approximately age 14 or 15. They hurt other students in many ways.
Some may work alone or in a group; the victim, however, is usually isolated. Most are typically aggressive toward adults as well as peers. They are often impulsive; they demonstrate a need to dominate. Most of them will go away if you ignore them.
Understanding a bully will use many ways to get at their victims and the internet seems to give them yet another method. The stereotype bully is real, 72per cent of bullies are bosses. Bullying more strongly affects women as women are targeted by bullies more frequently (in 57per cent of cases), especially by other women. We must get away from this and ascertain it does not go unreported regardless of the situation.
