The Magic of Thinking Big

Our thoughts create our reality. Our thoughts determine who we are as individuals. From the time we get up in the morning until the time our heads hit the pillow at night, our thoughts are guiding us and determining our journey through life. As long as you are going about your day thinking anyway, you may as well choose to "think BIG". Anyone can think small, and unfortunately, most people do. In fact, most people keep themselves in the same place in life, doing the exact same thing, without significant growth or change because of limited or conditioned thinking. What are you thinking? Do you even know? Start observing your thoughts.
When you think of "BIG thinkers", who comes to mind? Some of you will think of Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet and even Donald Trump. There are many more very successful people who do not even approach the level of accomplishment of these people. But, there seems to be a common denominator that exists across the spectrum when studying succcesful people. The common denominator sems to be an extraordinary amount of self-belief and self-confidence.
Thinking BIG is about possibilities. It 's about knowing and trusting the potential for something great that is not only present, but also possible beyond your ability to picture or even comprehend it. Bottom line; thinking BIG goes beyond your particular situation.
Thinking BIG is about taking action. Below are some suggested ways to take action become a BIG THINKER:
1. Believe that you can! Adopt the I-CAN-DO-IT! attitude. The "how-to-do-it" will reveal itself.
2. Adopt an attitude of constant personal development. Invest in yourself! Keep learning. Get a mentor or hire a professional coach.
3. Build confidence and destroy your fears. The best cure for fear is action! Observe your thoughts. Choose them wisely. For every negative thought, place a postive thought right beside it.
4. Add value. Ask yourself daily "What can I do to make myself more valuable? What can I do to help my team become more effective?"
5. Set high goals. If you can achieve a goal by yourself, it 's not BIG enough!
6. When in doubt about a particular course of action to take, always follow your intuition (heart or "gut feeling"). Follow it! You then know that what you are doing is right for you. It 's easier to overcome criticism and obstacles along the way when you follow your intuition.
7. Be a positive thinker. Look fo rthe best in yourself, in others and in all situations.
8. Look at things not as they are, but as they can be. Stretch your vision, your imagination. Instead of imagining only your desirable outcome, ask yourself "What is the best possible outcome that can occur?" After you have imagined the best possible outcome, push yourself to imagine an even better one.
9. Learn from your mistakes. There are no accidents. There is a lesson for you to learn. Fall forward!
10. Be grateful. Start every day listing 10 things you are grateful for. Gratitude is an attitude. This exercise changes your energy in a positive way! You'll feel better and therefore attract more of what you want into your life.
The choice is yours; think BIG or think small! Just the thought of thinking BIG expands the possibilites open to you, and thereby your potential. It gives you new perspective and most importantly, as sense of hope. It takes you out of the mode of solving immediate poroblems and moves you into the realm where "anything is possible". You are what you think! THINK BIG!
