Saltwater Aquariums - More Beautiful than Freshwater One

Aquariums refer to setups at home that house different fishes for pets. People set up their own aquariums at home, not just because they like to take care of fishes, but to beautify their homes. Aquariums also serve as decorations, especially if it is kept clean and well-maintained.

These aquariums are best stress relievers. The sight of water life mimicked in that glass tank, and watching those fish swim joyfully in their artificial homes, makes one feel like enjoying a fresh view along the waters.

There are two types of aquariums that can be put at home: the fresh water aquarium and the saltwater aquarium. Among the two the most difficult to maintain is the saltwater aquarium. This is because saltwater aquarium has an ecology makeup that differs and needs proper handling and care. If a person decides to have a saltwater aquarium, they should study seriously marine life. This will help them better understand the living conditions of marine life under the sea.

Saltwater aquarium is beautiful to look at. They are very appealing and colorful. This is because it normally has wide range of fishes and mammals, anemones, live corals, crustaceans and even jellies fish. Extravagantly colored reef fishes can enhance the aquarium's beauty. The movements of coral reef fishes make the aquarium vibrant and colorful.

Other popular saltwater fishes include angelfish, comical blenny, blue lined triggerfish, clown fish, and damsels.

Squid and octopus can create replica of the marine life in your aquarium. It is better to know the different saltwater fishes, the food that these fish eat the environment and the surroundings that are needed for their growth. Exacting the right water temperature is also important. Marine fishes are used to cold living conditions. Your tank should be able to live up to such conditions as well. The time that you give for studying and gathering information about saltwater aquariums can give you a gratifying experience.

The best fish for saltwater aquariums are those that have sturdy bodies. The sturdier fish you get, the easier that they can adapt to a new environment.

When starting your aquarium with saltwater, you can start with fishes that are easy to take care of. Examples are the lionfish, triggerfish, butterfly fish, damsel, clownfish, marine angelfish, and blennies.

Damsels are one of the easiest to take care of. This can be a cycling fish for the new aquarium.

other saltwater fish you can try for starters are the surgeons, wrasses, rays, rabbitfish, sharks, tangs, puffers, lionfish, jaw fish, pseudochromis, hog fish, pajama cardinal, dragonets, dottybacks, hawkish, boxfish, nudibranch, pipefish, eels, bowfin fish, bobies, and groupers.

An angel fish is considered as the most important fish in saltwater. They have a hardy nature and amazing color. According to the list, angel fish have 80 species. 20 of these are on sale in all pet stores. 40 species are only available from time to time.

Never expose specie of angel fish to a new set of marine tank. These can make them aggressive. The specie of angel fish can go well with other specie of clown fish and wrasses.

Remember that species of angel fish are not easy to maintain. Though there are some that are easy to maintain, but definitely not all. The varieties of food of angel fish are romaine lettuce, shredded shrimps, brine shrimp, scallops and krill.
