Are You Having An Event? Why Not Hire A DJ?

Everyone loves a good party, but one of the most important things is a good DJ and an emcee. Without music a party just isn't a party! The great thing about hiring a professional DJ is that they will customize the theme for your event or party and play the music you really want to be played.

These DJs are ready to cater to all your needs. When people used to hear the word "DJ" right away they would think of a club or a rave scene. And while these DJs do still exist today, there are many other reasons you would want to hire a DJ for an event other than a party such as a wedding, private dance or event DJ.

When it comes to a wedding or any other event, most DJs will have an extensive music library filled to the brim with all kinds of music including genres such as dance, r&b, reggae, classic rock, jazz, rap, oldies, etc.

It really depends on what type of music you want them to play and what that particular party or event is being held for. In order to find the perfect DJ for your event the first thing you will want to do is find DJs in your area. For example, if you are located in Ann Arbor you might want to find a few different DJ companies to take a look at.

I found a few nice websites regarding the Ann Arbor area but one in particular really caught my eye. This website was really nice because not only did they have a ton of information, but they even had a section completely dedicated to their Wedding DJ.

It included a question and answer page which gave a few quick questions you would probably ask if you were interested in going with them, and then an answer as well. For instance:

Q: Can I choose what songs I want to play and when? Do you take requests?
A: Of course! Each of our wedding planners will work together with you to complete a comprehensive guide dedicated solely to the music for your entire evening! Our time- and tradition-tested method will leave you more than enough room to customize - even down to what level you want the volume!

We'll go over this extensively to make sure you have every song you want, played exactly when you want it. And should something spark a memory of that 'special' song during your wedding or reception, we can even accommodate live requests!

The wedding page also had other things as well such as music samples with the music artist, title of song and even a WMA (Windows Media Audio) so you could listen to each song! Heck this would even be a cool music list to go through for ideas on exactly what songs you want played at your wedding or event! These websites might even include other services besides DJs. One website I went to also included a photographer for your wedding! Now that's service! It also helps if they have a quote section.

This way you can just contact them through a form and let them know what sort of event you are having, when, where, how many people will be coming, etc. Then, they will simply contact you by email or phone (your choice).

It's important that no matter who you contact or what you are contacting them for, to make sure that they have all the newest equipment. The last thing you want is a guy sitting at a table pushing "play" on his little computer! You want a full on turntable with the works!
