It's that time of year when our diaries start to fill and our social lives start to buzz. From Christmas shopping in London to visiting the family in the countryside and festive drinks with the girls in the city, we all tend to be more accepting of the invitations this time of year in an eager effort to spread the Christmas cheer. Whether you are happy to book yourself into a shared room, or require your own private room, the choice is yours. While hostels certainly are not everyone's cup of tea, at a cost of around ten GBP a night, they are a great choice if you would rather spend your money on festive drinks and gifts, especially if you are just checking in for one night.

There are many options to choose from when it comes to booking UK hotels this Christmas. Assuming you plan a little in advance and shop around, there's no reason why you need to pay through the roof and blow your entire monthly Christmas budget on a bed for just one night.
