WoW Warrior Tank: Leveling Your WoW Warrior Tank (1 to 6)
Once you have listened to the Stormwind City storyline, you will soon find yourself only a few yards away from Deputy Willem. He will hold your first quest (A Threat Within), which couldn't be any easier. Your first steps are to find your way into Northshire Abbey which is directly behind the Deputy himself (36 yards away). Speaking with him will only take seconds and your WoW Warrior Tank will gain 40XP and a positive 82 rating with Stormwind.
Next, Marshal McBride will want you to get rid of 10 Kobold Vermin. This quest is extremely easy and only 78 yards away from the Northshire Abbey. By the time you kill 8 of them you should reach level 2. There really isn't anything to this except making sure you are killing the right Kobold enemies. The only reason we bring this up with your WoW Warrior Tank is because there are also Kobold Workers and Laborers nearby.
The best suggestion we can give you in order to level quicker, is to continue killing the Kobold Vermin and Workers. If you can tough out killing about 17 more you will find yourself at level 3 in no time. When you've reached this point, head back to Marshal McBride and complete the quest (Kobold Camp Cleanup) that was provided for you. Once complete your WoW Warrior Tank will gain another 170XP along with 25 copper.
Reaching Level 3 and 4 (1400XP and 2100XP)
Upon your return to Marshal McBride you will be able to take on 2 additional quests (Simple Letter and Investigate Echo Ridge). We suggest taking on the Investigate Echo Ridge first since you are asked to kill 10 Kobold Workers. Again, simply head back to where you just were and fulfill Marshal McBride's orders. In the meantime you should continue to kill enough to reach level 4. During your little outing, be sure that you only kill the Kobold Workers. Killing the Vermin will only give you about half of the XP.
Completing the INVESTIGATE ECHO RIDGE quest will give your WoW Warrior Tank 250XP and 40 copper. Go ahead and accept the next quest (Skirmish at Echo Ridge). You will now be asked to kill 12 Kobold Laborers that can be found in the mine past the Vermin and Workers. Once accepted, go right and the second entrance on your right will run you straight into a Warrior Trainer. While you are completing the SIMPLE LETTER quest, go ahead and spend all the money you can on new abilities.
Flying Through Level 5 and 6 (2800XP)
By now you have probably noticed the increase in XP while moving towards higher levels. Since these 2 levels might take a tad bit longer, go ahead and accept all the quests you can. You will find two more available with Deputy Willem (Eagan Peltskinner and Brotherhood of Thieves). You can find Eagan on the West side of Northshire Abbey. Just by running to him you will gain 85XP and an additional quest (Wolves Across the Border).
The best way to go about these quests is by hitting the Kobold Laborers first. However, do not continue killing them until you level up. The idea here is to reach higher levels at a faster pace, which you will be able to do while killing the Defias enemies. Then after you have collected the 12 red bandanas needed, take your WoW Warrior Tank back towards Northshire Abbey and collect the 8 Tough Wolf Meat.
When completing each quest you will notice an increase in XP. The BROTHERHOOD OF THIEVES alone will give you an additional 360XP. Once you're finished picking up 2 more quests, head back to Marshal McBride and turn in the Skirmish at Echo Ridge). Here you will receive 450XP as well as a nice starter surprise. Then you will notice that there will only be one more quest from Marshal McBride that will take you where you must REPORT TO GOLDSHIRE.
Unfortunately you will only gain 170XP for the WOLVES ACROSS THE BORDER quest, but don't be surprised because it's only a level 2. The good news is you are still getting quests from both Deputy Willem and Milly the Harvester. Again, her starter quest will only give you 35XP, but the others will relinquish much more. At this point you should have 3 quests available (Milly's Harvest, Bounty on Garrick Padfoot, Report to Goldshire).
The BOUNTY ON GARRICK PADFOOT is quite easy if a WoW Warrior Tank and level 5 status. Once complete you can return to Deputy Willem who will give you a piece of armor of your choosing, as well as 360XP. Milly's Harvest will only grant you about 170XP, but will give you an additional quest (Grape Manifest). This is as simple as it gets. All you have to do is find Brother Neals inside Northshire Abbey at the top of the stairs. You will gain 360 XP and should reach level 6 before heading to Goldshire.
Time Elapsed
If you take your WoW Warrior Tank through each quest as we specified above you should be able to pull off level 6 within the first hour of play. We have so much more to share as you work on building your character to level 80. However, it takes time. Hopefully we will be able to help you save a lot of it with several articles just like this one. Good luck.
