For a high-flying adventure, head to the Skylands region in the northwest. As its name suggests, the Skylands region is home to the highest point in the state. Marked by the High Point Monument in High Point State Park, the snow is thick at 1,803 feet.

Vernon's Mountain Creek Resort in Sussex County is one of the state's premier ski and snowboarding destination.
