Do You Like Baseball? How About The Cubs?
Ah baseball, Americas favorite pastime. This is one of the most popular sports in the US and just about everyone knows who the Chicago Cubs are (even me). While baseball isn't my favorite sport (go Steelers!) I would have to live under a rock not to know that the Cubs are one of the most loved and most popular teams in the MBL. The Chicago Cubs were first established in 1870!
And although this team is one of the most popular like that of the Yanks, they still have bad luck sometimes, just like everyone is bound to have at one point or another. The Northsiders as they are frequently called (they are also often called The Boys in Blue noting the team's primary uniform color, (which itself is often referred to as "Cubbie Blue") or simply as "The Cubbies) are back in action Houston Astros Vs. Chicago Cubs on 4/6.
Now if you love this sport and this is your team, then you probably are the type of girl or guy that tries to get tickets in as advanced a time as possible. Good for you! You guys are always the ones that get awesome seats! Well, if you haven't thought about getting tickets yet, you really should consider it especially with all the different rumors going on around the catchers mound these days.
Hey, you want to see and hear all the action don't ya? Well, get to it! If you want to buy tickets, your best bet is to look online at a few websites that offer tickets. These aren't scalpers. They are legit sites that are willing to sell tickets to such fanatics as yourself. The great thing about the net is that almost everything costs loss.
And right now with the way the economy is going - saving a few bucks to see your favorite Cubbies is just what you need! If you're really a fan, then you probably buy tickets to Spring Training. Some people say that this is one of the most fun and most important "game" events for the MLB.
In this case, you might also want to find site that will let you buy Spring Training tickets as well. Today (03/02/2009) was actually their first spring training game against the Diamond Backs but hey there is a ton more where this came from! Check out a few of the upcoming games in the next few weeks:
Spring Training: Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox tickets 3/27
Spring Training: Chicago Cubs vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim tickets 3/31
Spring Training: Chicago Cubs vs. Cleveland Indians tickets 4/2
Exhibition: New York Yankees vs. Chicago Cubs tickets 4/3
Milwaukee Brewers Vs. Chicago Cubs tickets 4/10
and more (obviously)!
These ticket sites are really user-friendly and easy to navigate. Just find the game you want tickets for or the game you want to check out prices for, click "get tickets" or "view tickets" and a "map" of sorts will show you what different parts of the stadium will cost you. So for example, let's say I pick Spring Training: Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox Tickets 3/27/2009 Fri 1:05 PM Mesa, Arizona.
I know for sure that I want to sit right behind the home base so I do a search on the seating chart (which they also provide) and I look for that specific seating area. In this case, seat 100 to 106 are directly behind the baseman. So you go back to the chart for the prices and I can see that for seat 102 it's going to cost me $93.
If I want that specific ticket I just have to click the "buy tickets" button again and I'll be sent to the Delivery/Payment page. On this page I can choose to have the tickets delivered Standard or Express depending on my country, then I can also pay Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. You can also have an optional ticket coverage payment.
Once your done filling out the info, press continue to review your order, press submit and you just bought yourself a nice ticket to see the Cubbies! It will reach your home in a few days time (pending on the delivery you chose) and that's that. Simple as could be. If you want Cub tickets, this is the way to go. Quick, easy and pain free!
