Top Five Reasons To Be A Kings Fan With Sacramento Kings Tickets
Being a Sacramento Kings fan can have its advantages and disadvantages, but nowadays fans are feeling more that latter than the former. Still, even when the Kings are floundering there's hope yet.
Here are the top five reasons that you should either switch your loyalty to the Sacramento Kings, or, should continue to purchase Sacramento Kings tickets for their home games this season, just as you loyal Sacramento Kings fans have done for so very long.
1. Kevin Martin is back.
After missing 12 games right off the bat with a sprained ankle, the star scorer on the Kings' roster is back in the lineup. Kevin Martin is a ray of hope for the Kings, who have been without their prince for an incredibly rough stretch of games here in the beginning.
The Kings are in trouble, but with Martin, at least they have a shooter and driver. Before his return the Kings were getting production out of Spencer Hawes, John Salmons, Brad Miller and Jason Thompson. However, Martin is clearly the go-to guy, the one with the ball when the team needs some baskets.
Expect that the Kings will up their offensive game and improve from their 104.5 offensive rating (20th in the league as of December 3, 2008). The Kings are actually not a particularly inept offensive team, so Martin's point production will take them above average in the league.
2. John Salmons is awesome.
With Kev-Mart out, Salmons took control of the leadership in Sacramento by upping his game significantly. Whereas last year Salmons was getting 31.1 minutes per game, this time around he's averaging 37.9. Accordingly his points and assists per game both went up, from 12.5 last year to 19.2 in the scoring column this year, and from 2.6 assists to 3.1 assists per game this season.
But don't think that simply his being on the floor more has made him a better player. His field goal percentage has increased from .477 last season to .505 this year. Three pointers are dropping as well, as he's landing .417 of his long distance shots, up from .325 last year.
3. Kevin Johnson, K-J, Mayor of Sacramento, California
Kevin Johnson, a local basketball star in his high school days and one of the most famous point guards of the 1990s in the NBA, has just been elected the mayor of Sacramento. While it's nice having a guy in the Capitol Building with an interest in basketball, there is little legislatively that KJ can do for the wins and losses. But it's a good reason to be a basketball fan in the City of Trees, though.
4. Be A Loyal Subject
These are the trying times. This is the rough patch. The Kings are 5-15 already, and attendance, once the most consistently high in the league, has plummeted. If you want to claim you were a die-hard fan through thick and thin, you need to hold out your cupped hands and prepare for this healthy ladle serving of thick. Get some Sacramento Kings tickets to prove you're a "die-hard."
5. Sacramento Kings Tickets: Dropping Like Gas Prices
One of the best reasons to keep with a team when they're having trouble is that the price of tickets will oftentimes go down.
Ticket sold from the NBA and the Kings themselves can be gone before you know it. You can find Sacramento Kings tickets at secondary ticket marketplaces online.
