They then announced that the song could not be used until Washington consented to the Cowboys becoming part of the NFL. Even though this was settled years ago the deep-seated animosity and rivalry is evident anytime these 2 teams clash on the field.

One of the perennial powerhouses in the NFC East the Cowboys have continued to set records in many areas. They have strung together 20 winning seasons in consecutive years, won 5 out of 8 of their Super Bowl bids and are almost always in the playoffs.
