Best Places To Visit In Italy

Whether it's the timeless scenery of Rome, or the exquisite wine found only deep in the vineyards of Tuscany that intrigues you, it's no question why over four million tourists visit the hills of Italy every year.

Italy has more to offer than the external beauty that many travel millions of miles to experience. Italy encompasses the history of leaders like Caesar and Augustus, and the genius of artists like Michelangelo and Da Vinci. Whatever your attraction to Italy may be, you can rest assured you will find exactly what you came looking for.

Rome is an enchanting city that exudes romance and love. This may explain why thousands decide to spend their honeymoon here every year. When in Rome with the one you love, or simply when in Rome, you will not want to miss the awe-inspiring view from Gianicolo.

Located in Italy's infamous notorious seven hills, some say it is the most romantic part of Rome. If you're not traveling to Italy with you loved one, don't be so quick to overlook Rome as being a strictly romantic city.

In your travels to Rome you will find religion in its most exquisite form at the Vatican, historical greatness at the Coliseum, and no one could forget the Viale delle Belle Arti. Otherwise known as the Modern National Gallery, featured here are artists such as Van Gogh and Monet.

These are just a few of the famous architectural and cultural landmarks to be found in the great city of Rome, to tell you about them all would take away from the mystery and intrigue of one of the most visited cities in the world.

One of my favorite parts of Italy the first time I visited was the food. Some may say that it was because I was only ten years old; my favorite part of any trip when I was ten was the food.

But if you ask me again, I'm likely to tell you to this day, in a more refined way of course, that my favorite part remains to the day the divine tastes of Florence. It's hard to know where to start when telling you about the city of Florence.

It will steal your husbands heart with its pasta, your children's hearts with its gelato, and your heart with its heavenly wine. In our house, growing up Italian, there wasn't a night that went by that my mother didn't have dinner on the table.

Her cooking was always delicious, home-made down to the sauce on my pasta, and there were always leftovers. It wasn't until I spent the night over at a friend's house and ate dinner with her family that I really began to appreciate my mother and what she could do with her kitchen.

I came home the next morning and when my mother asked me about my night all I could do was talk about how awful dinner was. My mother looked at me and told me something I will never forget. She said, "Baby, her mother isn't a bad cook, she's just not Italian!" The moral of the story is that even if you're not Italian, during your visit to Florence, you can still eat like one.

Italy is a beautiful country; there is no denying that the scenery and monuments are extravagant beyond words. However, it's not the external beauty that makes Italy one of the most visited countries in the world.

In fact, it's not any singular aspect of Italy that makes it most appealing, it's the collection of culture, art, history, and culinary brilliance that work together to make Italy one of the most enchanting places in the world.
