9 Reasons To Visit Algarve In Portugal

Thinking of a holiday to Portugal, then you must be thinking of Algarve, the tourist delight situated at the southern tip of Portugal and a place awash with wonderful beaches, clean sprightly houses with cute chimneys and of course the lovely sunshine which favors the place the whole year.

This tourist destination truly is the ideal place to holiday given its salubrious climate facilitating sports like tennis and golf on one hand and the lovely stretch of beaches favoring water sports on the other. 2) The second reason is Castro Marim, which combines lovely countryside and natural beauty with beaches. It has something for everybody and is a perennial favorite.

3) Those of you yearning for the sun will find Faro, with its wonderful architecture and museums the perfect choice as this place is blessed with lush sunshine throughout the year.

4) Next on the list is the wonderful Tavira, blending beaches, churches and grand structural design. It also offers a lovely view of the Gilao River and the Roman Bridge.

5) People with a love for the wild will find Parque Natural de Ria Formosa the perfect place to explore wildlife within the verdant marshlands and lagoons. This place which sits on the way to Vale do Lobo is to the south of Portugal and provides the ideal setting for wildlife. It is also well known for the efforts taken to protect nature and keep it free from pollution.

6) The superb village of Carvoeiro is the next attraction for tourists, mainly for the protected beaches that offer snorkeling. It is situated at Lagoa. If you are the culinary type, then this village with its amazing array of eat outs is sure to satisfy you. Moreover, it is also famous for, on the house live amusement activities.

7)Now we come to Monchique, the only place which is unique for its wooded delights and a must for those preferring the mountains to the waters. This village is also home to warm sulfur springs and has been recommended as a therapy since the ancient Roman period. The health resort sitting at the top is a wonderful complement to the area.

8) Amongst the many beaches, the Praia de Odeceixe, located at the South of Portugal with a shape of a crescent is considered a haven for surfers since it is not only safe but is available all year long. Even during peak season, it is not crowded and ensures that the tourist enjoys a good time.

9) This one is a straight giveaway the Algarve Golf with its well maintained golf courses takes the pride of place for golfing aficionados.
