How to Pick Up Girls - A Simple Breakdown in 5 Steps

There are those who feel that picking up girls is an art, and I guess that's one way of looking at it. I would prefer to refer to it as the 5 steps of picking up girls, for lack of a better subject topic. How do you spell "disaster" to most men? By letting them know that fear of talking to a strange woman destroys all hope of them meeting someone. It isn't that difficult, it just requires a few simple adjustments to your attitude and thinking.

Step #1 - Don't let a failed attempt discourage you from trying again

Probably the most discouraging factor is that most men care too much about what the woman will think about him. Compatibility is not going to result each time, especially where one's expectations of another are concerned. Do not fear rejection! If you can avoid it at all costs, stop worrying about screwing up. Worrying about messing up causes you to mess up every time. Just remember that.

Step #2 - Remember that when you are trying to pick up a girl, it's YOU that are doing the choosing

Most women are smart enough to realize that if you start talking to them (or attempt to) that you are trying to pick up on them. Obviously, if you are trying to strike up a conversation, there's a reason for it. Just remember that lots of guys have tried to pick her up before you showed up, and others will try after you're no longer a part of the equation. The fact that nothing happens immediately, does not indicate whether or not she's come to the decision making process.

Step #3 - If you enjoy what you're doing when you're with her, she will enjoy the time she spends with

This is a perfect example of "Be yourself. Don't try to fake it." Number one, she'll catch on to what you're doing and things will just go downhill from there. It isn't a contest so if it seems like you are trying to "win" her, you'll be headed for a failed attempt at companionship. Your priorities should be her laughter and her smiles. Doing this ensures future interaction as well as more enjoyable moments together.

Step #4 - Lay off excessive compliment

Don't be an idiot by complimenting her looks right out of the chute. Letting you know that you are paying attention to her and what she is saying is sometimes the biggest compliment you can give her. Believe it or not, compliments about one's looks can take a bad turn. Clothing and accessories, as well as anything that is out of the ordinary are good focal points for compliments, but mentioning anything about her appearance is a big NO-NO.

Step #5 - Appearing desirable builds attraction

If you appear to be the type of mate she is desirous of, the attraction factor will start almost immediately. Though it is hard to do for most men, sometimes you just need to learn from other men who have had greater success with women than what you're having. There's a lot of truth to the adage, "In order to be successful, surround yourself with successful people." That is especially true when it comes to learning how to pick up women.
