The old saying "nice guys finish last" is, unfortunately, not that far from the truth when it comes to women. You may rarely hear a woman admit it, but the truth is that most women find nice guys to be "too nice" for them to ever be viewed as a potential date.

Women want a man in their life who is not quite so friendly and doesn't give the impression of a pushover. They want someone who doesn't take crap from anyone, has an exciting life and gives off a slight attitude. Of course, all of this is done with the right combination or it will have the opposite effect.

If you are one of the "nice guys" and find that you have trouble attracting women, the best thing you can do is let go of some of these nice guy traits. Say goodbye, at least when you are around women.

You are mistaken if you think a woman will, ultimately, be attracted to you if you treat her nice and courteous at all times. This would make too much sense. The truth is that the most she will be attracted to you is as a friend. Here's why.

Women always have a man in their life with whom she considers to have a great friendship. The problem is, she considers him to be such a great friend that she wants to leave him as just that. She enjoys hanging out and spending time with him, but she will not take things to a more intimate level because she doesn't want to lose him as a friend. In short, she will not want to risk ruining the friendship.

Now, don't get me wrong. Women want nice guys in their life. The problem for you is that they want them as friends and only friends. If you have a female friend, you've probably eve heard her question why you are single. She may even carry on about all of the reasons you should not be single. However, you will also notice that you make no movement out of her friend category by the end of this conversation.

To be quite frank, women do not look at their "nice guy" friends as potential dating partners. A man who is too polite and too courteous will continue to be viewed as boring, which is what nice guys are lacking when it comes to attracting women. The nice guy does not provide the excitement women desire and, hence, they view these guys as not worth dating.

The key to changing this nice guy momentum is to just stop. Focus on becoming a confident man with an exciting life who won't take crap from anyone. If you consider yourself one of the 'nice guys,' don't take this too literally. You do not need to act like an arrogant jerk. You do not need to go too far out of your element.

Just learn to take on a nonchalant, easy-going attitude but come across as a challenge. Women like some competition when it comes to men. Wouldn't you prefer her working for your attention rather than the other way around? It's up to you to make this your reality.

I will repeat myself. Stop being that nice guy all women love to be friends with, and become that confident man all women desire. This transformation will probably not be as difficult as you anticipate. With just a little effort, you can learn to shift from friend to potential sexual partner and attract more women than you ever imagined.
