Bride Ukraine - How To Integrate In The New Society

Many international marriages fail because the two parts refuse to understand the specific cultural characteristics of their partners and become active members of the new society. Try to consider the advice below.

In Ukraine the tradition says that the bride moves to live in her husband's house. Today many families share apartments even before the marriage and it is hard to say that traditional patriarchal relationships still play any role. Today the style of living and the decisions made by the young couples are dictated by other factors which unfortunately are hard to be skipped.

No matter whether your wedding ceremony has taken place in your country or in Ukraine, it is logical after the end of the honeymoon for you to go back home and continue with your job-related activities. The other version of this story is to try to find job in Ukraine but in most cases this is waste of time and efforts.

The standard of living there as you have already noticed is lower compared to that in the western countries. You will seem overqualified and demanding too much money for a job that could be done by a local person who may not have your professional qualifications, but will receive one tenth monthly payment of what you have requested.

You will have two options, either to stay in Ukraine accepting the lower standards or take the plane back home and return to the life you know. Do not be afraid that your bride will refuse to leave her family. The lady who has taken the decision to marry a foreigner knows perfectly that she should leave her families, friends and everything she knows and follow him. She would do it and will stay with her husband even if he says that he is leaving for the Moon!

The alternative to you working in Ukraine is your wife staying in your native country. Ukrainian brides are very energetic people. They will love to settle and look after the household but on the other hand they would also love to have something on their own and contribute, even with small amount of money to the house.

While you go to work and meet people or deal with specific problems your wife will stay home and perhaps this will make her feel a little crazy. Loneliness is not happiness. Try to find something for your bride, help her integrate to the new environment.

If your bride speaks your native language, you can encourage her to enroll in courses on yoga, dances or crafts. There she will learn new things and in addition she will meet people with a similar interest among which she might find good friends. If she does not speak anything else but Ukrainian and Russian, the best thing is to start courses in the local language. She might have learnt a few phrases from you, but the professional courses are adding grammar to the vocabulary and usually you will see an improvement in less than a week.

Finally, introduce your bride to your friends. Probably they have girlfriends, sisters or wives and these ladies could lend hand to your bride. They can show her around when you are at work and even help her start a job somewhere is she feels like ready and willing to work.
