How With This Guide It Can Help You Get The Most Out Of Your Wedding Car Hire And Plan The Itinerary

Traditionally it is the groom's responsibility to organize the wedding party transportation, but many grooms are ignorant in this respect. They just lack the knowledge and understanding to know exactly how important this day is for the bride-to-be.

Some grooms even delegate this responsibility to the bestman and if you are a bride-to-be and are worried that your future husband lacks the understanding of how important it is to find the best transportation for you, you may just have to do it yourself. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of your wedding car hire, even if you don't know a lot about transportation.

It is important that you carefully plan your transport itinerary in advance. You need to plan how your Groom, bestman, your parents, chief bridesmaid, bridesmaids and you, will travel to a) the wedding service, b) the reception, and c) leave the reception.

a) Transportation to the Wedding Service.

In some cases wedding party individuals may be staying overnight at the service venue which saves some arrangements. If this is not the case then you will need to arrange at least one but, more likely two or three cars for the wedding party members. The traditional arrangements will be as follows:

1) The Groom and Bestman leave together, usually from the Groom's home, and arrive at the church or service venue first. Their car could be a sports car or modern executive car.

2) The Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride leave together, usually from the Brides parent's home, and arrive at the service approximately 15 minutes before the Bride arrives. The Bridesmaids will wait outside for the arrival of the Bride whilst the Mother of the Bride is escorted to her seat by one of the ushers. Their car could be one that co-ordinates or compliments the main bridal car.

3) The Bride and Father of the Bride leave together, usually from the Brides parent's home and arrive at the church or service venue last. The important car that everybody will see you and your Groom leave in for the reception.

It is possible for the cars to be shared if the distance travelled allows, but remember that if the reception is to be held in a different location to the service the car will need to be shared once more.

b) Transportation to the Reception.

In most cases the same cars that were used for transport to the service will be used for transport to the reception. The traditional arrangements will be as follows:

1) The Bride and Groom leave together in the Brides car, and arrive at the reception venue first.

2) The Bridesmaids and Bestman leave together and arrive at the reception venue shortly after the Bride and Groom.

3) The Father and Mother of the Bride leave together and arrive at the reception venue last.

It is possible that the same Bridesmaids transport to the service can be shared for the Bridesmaids, and Father and Mother of the Bride transport to the reception depending on the seating capacity.

c) Leaving the Reception.

The leaving transport only needs to be arranged for the Bride and Groom, and only if they are not staying at the reception venue.

In conclusion carefully plan your transport itinerary well in advance, and know who is going to be travelling to your wedding and what transfers are required.
