Making Women's Ministry Fun

In order to be successful, you must work really hard on making women's ministry fun. It is not something that is very hard to do, but it is something that does take some time, effort, and some input from everyone in your group. Here are a few things that you can do to make your women's ministry more fun, exciting, and interesting for everyone involved.

To begin with, when you are thinking about ways to make you women's ministry more fun, you need to think about things that will appeal to a majority of the women involved in the group. You definitely do not want to have boring, repetitious activities and events. Each month, you can plan different activities and events that will be something that catches everyone's attention. You will be proud that your ministry provides a program that is appealing to the likes of women from all different walks of life.

Your women's ministry group probably already has regular meetings of some sort. You can start making your ministry more fun by making some changes to your meeting. For your regular meetings, you can start to plan them at different places outside of the church. For example, you can plan them at different restaurants each month and this would give the women a nice ladies night out.

Not only would you have your meeting, but the women would also have a chance to get together, chat, and have a nice dinner. You could also try hosting the meeting at someone's house each month and have members bring their favorite dish. By doing things like restaurants or member's homes, you will make women's ministry more fun because it just won't be "another" meeting.

Each month you should plan some activities that are not related to meetings or mission work. The activities should be something that brings your women together for a fun time of friends and fellowship. Many women do not get to go out and have fun much because of home and work obligations, so by providing a fun monthly activity for your ministry, you will surely make it more fun.

Game night is something that will be attractive for many women in the women's ministry. This is a night were everyone brings their favorite board game and everyone spends time playing the game. Unless they have children, many women don't get the chance to sit down and play Scrabble or Monopoly. Don't forget the snacks as well.

Craft Night is an ideal activity for a ministry. This is a special night where a few women will come in to teach the group how to do a new craft. This is especially popular around the holiday months. You can have your church purchase the supplies or have the women bring their own supplies. It would be something creative and fun and many of the women will really enjoy getting together and learning a new craft.

Another fun activity for a ministry would be to host a women's tea party. Most women will admit that as a little girl, they loved to dress up and being their dolls and teddy bears to tea. Why not let them relive this childhood experience by hosting a ladies tea party?

This can be a gathering of the women for tea and cookies. To make it more fun and original, you can also have the women come dressed in red hats or costumes. They will simply love the elegance of the tea party and enjoy the time they get to spend with their friends while enjoying a nice cup of tea and some yummy cookies.

A talent show is also a very fun event for your women's ministry. All women have a special talent and it would be very fun to give the women a chance to show off their talents. You can do this with or without prizes. What better way to get to know your ministry group!

Finally, a movie night would be a great way to end the month! You could have a member of your women's ministry bring in a movie to watch on VCR or DVD and the group can sit around and watch the movie while enjoying a big bowl of popcorn and sodas.

The possibilities are endless when you are trying to make your ministry more fun. Ask the women what they like to do. Then plan away. In the long run, you will attract more and more new members to your women's ministry group.
