President Obama will not have it easy. Simple as that, no brainer you say but how is it seen through astrology? First there is an eclipse on his progressed Moon February 9th, which indicates trouble around a partnership; this must be Daschle although someone else may come up with bad news that will take them away from a post.

The major influence that indicates problems for Obama is Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth opposite his Venus, what he loves and values. Pluto opposite natal Venus occurs only once in a lifetime, (unless you were born with your Venus retrograde). Pluto takes too long to go through a cycle to have this cycle happen often so when it does you really get slammed. It is a time when one re-evaluates everything, usually it is not easy on the relationship side of life either, something may come up with Michelle or the girls that concerns him. Clearly he values the country and with the Pluto energy circumstances outside of his control will frustrate him. When this happens in a persons chart who is not in such a public position family and financial life goes through a two year period of major stress and turmoil.

This implies that circumstances in the economy will continue to worsen, that situations will happen that are not seen that can create more havoc in Obama getting his economic stimulus plan to help the economy. Another concern is that his chart shows he will be deceived by men; as indicated from progressed Mars conjuncting his Neptune. Mars symbolizes men; Neptune deception, Mars Neptune combination also indicates that he will be more susceptible to colds and viruses.

Neptune and Mars are in his 9th house; the house of ethics and legal issues, and Mars is a co ruler of his second house, money. It appears that someone will attempt to bribe him, or that others around him will be bribed. It also would mean that someone will not be totally truthful around a financial issue, that there would be something hidden or unethical about a financial proposition.

When these two signatures (Pluto opposite Venus and Mars/Neptune ruling second) is in an individuals chart who is not running the country it would mean loss of money, loss in a legal situation, and deception from someone regarding money.

Saturn is moving through his 7th house of partners, this indicates a time when marriage is tested; this has been going on for over a year and will continue for another year. The 7th house is also the house of partnerships, so partnerships are not easy, they take work and effort, but the partnerships he makes now will bring rewards years down the road.

The greatest blessing will come from Jupiter in the 12th and 1st house. Jupiter in the 12th is help from networking behind the scenes, Jupiter entered his 12th house during the election year, when he was able to gather support through social networking among other avenues, and this is still valid. If he continues to find help from people behind the scenes his policies will be passed quicker and easier.

Later in 2009 when Jupiter crosses into his 1st house; if he focuses on optimism and leads the public with his own faith and believing in his path of action he he will prosper and succeed. In spite of the dire straights of the USA and the economy it appears that President Obama will be triumphant and lead the country to believe all will be well.
