Candles are available in a variety of different shapes, colors, sizes and scents. They have been around since before 3000 BC, and people use them for many different reasons, from personal use to worship.

Candles that have a scent to them are great because when you light them the scent will slowly diffuse throughout the room. They have a variety of uses in today's world, some people use them as part of their worship rituals, and some just simply use them as home decoration. Candles are sometimes the only source of light for people.

Candles that are available on the market today are made out of high quality wax. During the Middle Ages candle makers used beeswax to create their candles. Molds began to be used during the 15th century; this allowed candles to be produced in different sizes and shapes. When candles were first created in ancient times the candle makers used melted animal fat to make their candles.

A candle on top of a birthday cake has long been a popular thing. There are so many different types of birthday candles; there are ones that are shaped as a number, tall skinny ones, and even ones that are wavy and curly looking. Birthday candles come in about any color imaginable. If a person is turning ten, then you would put ten birthday candles on their cake. Use flat black spray paint designed for wood stoves and barbeques to paint the interior of the fireplace a stark black. Before painting, be sure that you mask off any area where you do not want paint. In particular, cover the hearth and bricks that form the fascia of the fireplace. Use of this paint should not affect the use of the fireplace in the future. You will still be able to burn wood with no ill effects.
