Don't Make These Mistakes When Choosing The Best Location For Your LED Screen

The first step to start making money with a LED screen, is to define the exact position where it will be installed. This is one of the most important steps of the entire process and it requires a great deal of attention. The position indeed have a direct impact on the number of potential customers that your business can target: the better the position, the higher the chances that someone will want to broadcast his advertisement on your LED display.

There are all sorts of ways to install your LEDwall according to the position you choose, but it's helpful to place the various installations into four categories.

LED screen on building facade
This type of installation is the first choice for many advertising companies when they first consider the location, because it allows the screen to be visible from longer distance. But you should take into consideration that the higher you install the LED display, the smaller it will look to your audience (and customers), therefore being less visible (and loosing some of its appeal of "giant" screen). And if the LED screen is perceived as smaller or less visible, it might be harder to win your Customers. Also, this kind of installation is usually more expensive as you need a special metal frame to fix the LED walls and a crane for one day or two.

LED screen on poles
This is the most common kind of installation because it is the easiest and cheapest option. It allows installing the LED display up to 3/4 meters in height, with a double or single pole structure to support the screen. Some companies provide you with the metal structure together with the screen, at a small charge. Unless you have a preferred supplier for this type of structure, getting the one offered from the LEDwall manufacturer is usually the best bet: in fact they already provide you the entire system with static weight calculation etc... Furthermore presumably they already installed several structures (and improved eventual bugs) so you don't take any risk.

LED screen on truck
This is becoming a more and more common option for many advertising companies. By installing the LED display on a truck you usually avoid most of the bureaucracy related to getting the permission from the city hall or other competent authorities. Furthermore you could move the LED screen from one location to another (after a while or even regularly). For example, you could park the LEDwall on the side of the road during the week and then moving it in the Clubs' street during the weekends. Installing the LED display on a truck is also relatively inexpensive because if you plan to park it in the same location for longer periods you don't really need a truck but a simple tow.

LED screen hanging indoor
For indoor installation (usually in shopping malls) there is another option, which is hanging the LED screen from the roof with a metal chain, a frame or a truss structure. This solution has many advantages as a strong visual impact to the audience increased perceived brightness (because it is used indoor) and last but not least, a nice portfolio of potential customers represented by the stores in the shopping mall.

So, we saw the general pro and cons of the most common installations. For more detailed information, please ask advices to your supplier and never forget to compare the proposal you get with at least another couple of LED screen manufactures!
