Video Reviews For Film Buffs

Films have always been a passion of mine, I love nothing better at a weekend to curl up in front of the television with some pop corn and watch an eighties classic such as ET or The Labyrinth. That's what has probably inspired me to make some films of my own, but in order for me to do that I had to look at all the latest technology and to be honest it was a bit overwhelming. Luckily there are many user-friendly video reviews on the internet to enable you to find what's best for you. So if you are like me a bit of a film buff that wants to have a bit of fun, or you really want to develop your film-making skills here we shall look at what's out there right now.

First up is the Flip Mino Camcorder, which like it sounds, is very mini indeed! The camcorder is tiny and looks much like an iPod or mobile phone. This little device may look small but it does a good job at being a very quick shooter and quality of the video is respectable. Some of the colours may be a bit vivid but that is the case with most camcorders. Overall this product is fantastic for someone who likes to upload short films to YouTube and Facebook quickly and without hassle.

Next up is the Toshiba Camileo Pro HD Camcorder, which although it is small and would fit in your pocket is not the smallest model out there. What is most interesting is that it claims to offer HD at quite a cheap price, so is it really value for money? According to video reviews it manages quite well in lit filming but struggles in low lit environments, so perhaps this isn't for someone who wants to be able to film in any surroundings. There is also an eight mega pixel camera available for use, but really it won't be replacing any digital camera you may already have. One positive note the colours that are filmed are of a good quality so perhaps this model is better for amateurs alone.

The next video reviews are on the Creative Vado camcorder. This slim device boasts two hours of filming battery life, which is very impressive. The filming is of a good quality but when moving from dark to light it is worth knowing that it takes it a while to adjust. In terms of making videos to go on the internet is it fine, but to put onto a large TV screen would not be as good. Also, all of the software that this camcorder comes with is pretty bad, but those who need a slim camcorder that can last for a long time, this model is worth considering.

The last model we are briefly looking at is the Toshiba Gigashot A100FE which at the most expensive camera of our video reviews has quite high expectations on quality. Yet it seems to meet all of these, the camera is very good in both indoor and outdoor filming and is pretty impressive. For those who like simplicity with their filming, this Toshiba Gigashot can offer just that. Although one issue that is worth considering when filming in HD quality, is that getting filming content isn't an issue, its just being able to store it all somewhere. So perhaps the best option with this camera is to film in lower quality and wait till hardware can cope with storing it all.
